Default please help: need size auxiliary storage

:?: as i am waiting on my tC, my mind has plenty of time to wander. in doing so, i have come across some ICE ideas and would like to know, if possible, the measuerments (approx. or exact) of the larger auxiliary storage compartment in the back. i believe it is to the right of the spare tire stowage. width, length, and depth would be very helpful...take care.

It's an odd shape... I was doing the same.. I think I measured it at 13 wide at the widest part, and about 16 long at the longest section. It'll fit a 10 nicely if you got the time... maybe squeeze a 12.

that's going to be the problem.

I think if you used 3/4" mdf as a bottom and top board I think you are looking at very little (say 3-4") of depth for a sub if you wanted to flush mount it.

sounds like it's big enough for an in-car computer :D

See, me and you are on the same track. I've already got the computer, 7" touchscreen is getting shipped to me right now, I am currently working on the software, and going to order the rest of the parts in the next few weeks.

Now I just need the car.

Hit me up on aim and we could talk alittle bit more about it, maybe share ideas, tips and tricks, and whatever else.

The depth on the sides is about 4.5 inches..

Now, if you remove the spare it gets deep.. closer to 9-10 inches.

If you want some thump, I'd suggest removing the spare and the foam sotrage compartments and build it from there. Throw some dynamat in the bottom and either build a custom box to sit in the recessed spare tire well, or build the entire "floorboard" of the trunk out of MDF (where the cardboard and carpet are now).

I drew up some plans, but funding is a little short until I sell me bike. Good luck!
