Ok here's the deal.. on my way home while waiting at an intersection, i looked at my rear view mirror and i see this beat up caravan and it's stvpid a$$ driver coming closer and closer to my baby and guess what, he wasn't even looking straight ahead but seems that he was reaching for something in the passenger seat. instantly i had a premonition that this guy will hit my car so i tried to advance put the car in some motion but unfortunately.. i wasn't in time!!! put the car on hazard and go out and said "WTF are you trying to get in your passenger seat.. " and immediately inspect my rear bumper.. at first i really didnt see anything but upon close inspection i saw 2 dimples which closely resembled the screw of his plate number.. it was really barely noticeable.. Good thing the guy was really apologetic and really kept apologizing..

THis really calmed me down.. so i asked him.." what do you want to do now?" he said "whatever you want.. its your car.. again i'm sorry.. i'll pay for everything.." He then offers me a body shop in w/c he said he has a friend who works there.. But i said.. " i've nothing against your friend's shop but i really wanted the dealer do do the job and inspect everything cause it may be just a dimple but i want the bumper supports checked.. etc." also.. i told him that a friend of mine works at the dealer and we can get it for employee price.." he said he was cool with it and if it was just a couple of hundred then he would pay cash but if it's more than the budget.. then he'd let insurance handle it.. I agreed to everything but still got his insurance.. license.. VIN and contact number..

After that i descided to get a police report .. "just in case!!" this guy tries to screw me over.. but lo and behold.. no signal in my cell!! i said.. wtf is with this day!!! well after waiting for almost 20 mins and causing light traffic.. i said to myself.. i'm too tired for this **** and and told him "i'll give him a call once i had an estimate".. and we both agreed on the terms.. took a picture of the scene with my cam fone.. and drove off..

only lucky thing that happend was that i saw him and anticipated his crash and tried to move the car coz i seriously think that the damage would be more severe if i was on a full stop with the brakes on..

so how'd you guys think i should handle this.. any advice would be gladly appreciated... also feel free to post bad luck experiences too..

i was studying all afternoon for a test in my 6pm calc test... check the email around 5 and see that the class is cancelled!

i was so ready for that test dammit! now i have to think abou tit all weekend. ahhhh

ummm.....i washed my tC yesterday and it rained today

 

Well here is my "luck" on Friday the 13th that could of gone wrong if not for my trusty tC.

It started raining tonight a little bit. Everyone knows the first 30 minutes of rain is the most dangerous but I decided to hit the freeway anyways. Hittin' the offramp to my exit I go a tad hard on the breaks, thank you sudden breakers and fellow drivers of the road, and what happends? I wasn't stopping. I feel the ABS breaks kicking in so I know i'm not sliding. I give a slight left turn and end up on the service lane of the off-ramp. If this happened in my old car... END!

Other than that... My buddies Vietnam War Pig (I really don't know why he even has one) chased me through his backyard. Which i'm still shaking about. O_O

That thing frightens the holy **** out of me.

 

Hah! That sounds like what the guy in the Suburban told my insurance company when he rear-ended me.

"I can fix it at my bodyshop."

Ha! Haha! There's no way I would let someone who rear-ended me at a stoplight fix my car. Even if you just want to settle outside of insurance, you'll have next to no recourse if the guy decides to just not pay.

The damage to my bumper was about the same. Dimples. It still cost his insurance over $600.00 to fix. I ended up paying $40.00 out of pocket to avoid getting a 'refurbished' bumper, I wanted a new one put on.


That aside, my Friday the 13th was weird. I spent most of the day in a coffee shop, because I had to stop a painting job I'm doing. It keeps threatening to rain.

I ended up staying two hours too late without realizing it.

Long story. Pretty hillarious.

I hauled it home, as I literally had a roast in the oven all day. I took take-offs slow, but still managed to skid a little on the wet pavement. Narrowly avoided a guy turning with me off a double turn-lane who thought his lane was much bigger than it was.

Was tailgated for blocks, going 55 on a 50, by a Nissan Murano, who had to be in the right lane.

Made it home, no roast or house fire.

The only streak of bad luck I had today was wondering when it's going to stop raining, so I can finish painting.

Bills. Must pay bills.

 

I'm not the superstitious type, but after today, I beleive it to a small extent.
The bad luck I had today probably wasn't that bad to most people's standards, but still bad.

The whole day, I was stuck in really slow traffic on roads where it's usually really open for me to do my own thing. I was stuck at 40 in a 55, with absolutely no chance to pass and later, someone cut off the people in front of me, so we were stuck going 35 in a 55, and this crap was happening all day. Everytime I got an opening, I took it, then, what do you know, someone else cuts me off and blocks me from passing, even on a 2 lane road. And I almost got hit twice by idiots not paying attention.

 

Well, my "bad luck" didn't involve my tC today but something did happen...

So they started taking reservations for the new Nintendo Wii at Gamestop and EB Games. I was fortunate to not have to camp out for one, but just woke up early (like 7am) and went to a Gamestop 15 miles away (at a place not close to residential areas nor close to schools so no worries about fighting kids and other college students for it).

The store doesn't open until until 10am and my boyfriend and I got there at 7:30am and lucky, only one person waiting. So there we were, waiting until 10am. Finally an employee begins to open the store and says they'll be taking reservations now (only 11 consoles available). But, he comes back 10 minutes later and tells us that their primary computer system crashed last night and that they won't be able to take non-cash deposits. Luckily, my boyfriend had $100 cash so we could each deposit for one system. But 15 minutes later, he comes back out and says that the secondary computer system is "controlled" by the primary computer so they cannot accept ANY deposits for the Wii today.

They asked for us to put our names down along with phone number and they'll let us know tomorrow when we can come in and finally reserve our much desired Wii's. I just hope this "Friday the 13" bad luck doesn't follow until the 14th ~LOL

 

well, nothing bad happened to me, but i did saw a couple of accidents. one involving a dude in a motorcycle, i think he got badly hurt. and another was this car got hit in the back really bad.

 

Oh I had the WORST of it all... I go over to bigg J's house to pick up some show stands for hin tommorow "his car is a featured car in a booth" and we were checking out the car and he points out a bubble like object on the paint on his spoiler, so I bairly touch it feeling how high it was sticking up and POP the bubble pops and I am staring at a 1/4" hole in his spoiler, I am like OMFG you are kidding me... Waiting to get my ___ handed to me, I showed him and RJ and thank GOD they had a fresh painted Kaminari wing going to go on the car.... but was not to happen tonight... Anyways took the old off, cleaned and scrubbed for hours, got the new wing on and all is well but man what a bummer night... TOtally sucked and I feel horrible about it.

Now the new inside joke is "don't touch the bubble!"

Well it was my 20th birthday on Friday the 13th - so i decided to park my baby in the garage and make my friends come pick me up! we proceded to drink and i proceded ti get wasted! all in all, a good friday the 13th - not really any different than any other friday

I think people who drink until they can barely stand and then drive are juss asking for a DUI or to kill someone, and thats juss not cool, when i have my baby out, i will NEVER touch any alcahol - i got in a fender bender when i was tipsy in my last car and i was lucky enough not to get a DUI - not gonna take ANY chance again!

Yeah Friday the 13th was pretty scary for me too...I had ordered the NST 9.5lbs Supercharger pulley from NST on Wednesday and, today, when I went to get the mail, there's was a package from NST. I freaked out! It was the scariest moment I've ever had.

I curbed my rear wheel yesterday. And I just realized yesterday was Friday the 13th. That is messed up.

 

my friends and i were drinkin at our friend's house (it was my first time drinking too) and around 3:00am on the 13th, we got a call from another friend telling us our friend died in a car accident. RIP my friend.
