Default Price drop for new model year?

Does anybody know if Scion dealers would lower the price of cars from the previous model year once the new model is released? Just wondering what would happen to the price of '05 tC once the '06s are out.

I know it's still a long time off, but I'm willing to wait Thanks.

last year when the 05s came out, we did run a lower posted price for the 04s. However, the availability of the tC may be still so high that there would be no reason for a dealership to lower the price. Dealerships don't have too many tC on the lot to be considered too much over-head.

moral: doubt it.

i dont think they will. the demand is high, and supply is low.

I doubt it too since the tC is still in high demand. Plus Inflation. If anything it should cost more.

The tC is such a great bargain and there is not much profit for the dealer. So I see NO price decrease in this car. I would also think the '06 tC will have a $200-$300 price increase. Just a guess though.

My guess is that unless the '06 offers some sort of major difference in construction (i.e.; steel roof, smaller stock rims, new stereo components, etc), then there will be no reason to change the car. Just because your car was built a month before the model year change, there's no significant difference between the two models, so any price difference would be rediculous.

Price drops are also usually reasons to move cars off the lot. Since most tCs get sold within a short time frame, its highly unlikely someone's going to move the price on one, especially if they'll sell it in under 2 weeks of receiving it.
