Default problem or feature ???

i have a question for u guys

After driving home from work i park my car in the driveway i put on the break and leave it in third gear and holding the clutch as i turn off the car. Now this was the first time i ever left it in gear as i turned off the car. I needed to pick something up so i hop in my car hold the clutch in and turn it on. But before i turn it on i notice the clutch is lower then all the pedals by at least 2-3 inches. i push it in anyways and i am able to turn on the car. But i couldn't take it out of gear. almost as if the clutch died on me. (the car only has 600 very gentle miles on it) after a few mins i decied to pull up on the clutch and it locks back into place as if nothing had happened. It works just fine and i haven't had the problem sence.

so my question is, lol is the car suposed to have the clutch lock into place like that when u leave it in gear when u turn it off?

Try to replicate the situation and if it does it again, it could be the clutch bad, or even just not enough clutch fluid. Do these cars share brake and clutch fluid? (in my mx-6 they do)

I think in almost all cars, the share the same DOT3 fluid.... that's what it sounds like to me, is low clutch fluid. The same thing happened to my Maxima when there was a leak in the hose

Default Hmm...

Not 100% sure but I think the clutch system may be hydraulic. That could have something to do with it.
