okay im not sure what is wrong but it just popped up on my dash but my ABS light is on and my TPS light is going on and off does this mean my sensor is out....somebody please help me!!!!

 

alright, first thing to do is open your owner's manual and see what it tells you those lights are trying to tell you.

first thing you should do is reset the TPMS sensors, the button to do that is located in your glove box.

now, your ABS and TPMS problem could be related, because your TPMS (on the 2005 and 2006 model year tc) uses the abs wheel speed sensor to determine if one of your tires is rotating slower than one of the others. so i would venture to guess that maybe one of your wheel speed sensors is broken. just a guess though.

 

well i know about the tps sensor and how to reset it but this time it jsut stays blinking and doesnt stop and this is the first time that the abs light came on and its staying on..... im guessing its just one of my sensors but i dont see how the sensors would go bad since i havent hit any bumps or anything

 

Take it to Toyota if its not far away.. maybe a wiring problem a buddy's Bug had to have its wires replaces because of this problem

 

rotate tires? changed brake pads or rotors? any electrical work done somewhere?

maybe check the fuses? there might be a fuse for those sensors that may have gone bad...

 

cant really ake it to toyota cause they wont cover it fro warrenty since im turboed damm this sux

 

your turbo has pretty much nothing to do with your brakes. your dealership would have to prove that turbo kit or installation of the turbo caused the failure of the factory component.

anyway, i'm not sure on this but would this throw a code that an obdII scanner could pick up? i guess you should start there.

 

yeah i was thinking that ill take it up to the dealership tomorrow ... if i need new sensors how much do they go for anyways

the rear ones are cheap, so pray that it is one of them, but the front ones are expensive, going for about 200 each.

but trdsparks there gives a pretty good discount.

lmao thanks! well i think that the speedsor wire is just gettin wet cause i dont have fender liner anymore and i guess it sends off a signal cause since its dryo utside the signal isnt goin off

 

never mind ill be going to the stealership tomorrow to have them check it out... everything was working out and thel ights were off until tonite and it came back on this really sucks!

 

have it checked by a dealer!!
