I am working on a Badgeless Rear garnish for my tC...

I bondo'd the hole..i did pretty good job on that part..Primered it it looked awesome no edvidence of the hole showing either!

Also after the first attempt w/ color..U can still see the shadow of the hole
through the paint!...Anyway to fix this?

Then there are now small stress cracks in the bondo area now...How do I get rid of these???

Well any help will be appreciated!!!..Its getting Fustrating!...lol

Bad painter! I dunno man you got to let me see it and maybe it might be a quick fix. I dont know why you tryin to paint with out me.

 

Did you use regular body bondo? You should of used a black bondo, one that you use on front and rear bumpers. This one allows for some flex to be had. Just sand everything back down, it was most likely an issue with not sanding it down right.

 

The bondo was spread to thick. Thats why there is cracks. Did you use the tube of bondo that you just squeeze out? Or the bondo that you have to mix the hardener into it?
I have never had good luck with the tubes.
If you don't want to start over just sand the color off and apply a very thin coat of bondo, let dry, sand and repeat...

The shadow is probably from primer not thick enough. You did use primer right?
I would use two coats of dark grey filler primer. Sanding lightly in between.

From what Ive been told you are not supposed to use bondo on plastic because it cracks. Their are different types of plastic filler but you need to find out what type of plastic the piece is made of then decide what filler best suits your needs.. Good luck.
