Default Projector Headlights - HID upgrade?

Just recently self-installed a set of projector headlights on my car, and I've run into several problems. If you have projector headlights, or know anything about them...please chime in!!!

1) The projectors don't seem to be evenly aligned. I closely examined the backside of the lights to see if there were some bolts, or something I could use to adjust them, but no luck! Any ideas? The high beams are great, and easy to align/adjust.

2) The projection isn't bright enough for me. I'm considering the possibility of upgrading to high intensity discharge (HID) headlights, and am wondering if it's possible to do. Any success stories out there?

3) My left projector light just died on me last night...so I'm thinkin' now would be a good time to upgrade to a brighter bulb.

I am not sure which projectors you have...that could help us answer you with your questions. However, I have projectors, the ones with the two led lights in the corner of each. The projectors on mine are not evenly aligned but very close nonetheless. There is basically nothing you can do to fix that though. It is a flaw based on the cheap manufacturing. I woudl adivse you to upgrade to an HID setup. Dispite the criticisms from others on this site regarding glare and what not, it increases visibility greatly for you, and looks 10x better too. I put HIDs in mine, and have not had any problems.

Hope this helps a little.

Hmmm sounds like you didn't do any research before buying your projector headlights.

Use the button at the top of the page and you will find countless threads regarding projectors and if you can use HIDs in them or not.

JfBri, I've got the same projectors you do, I think. 2 LEDs, 2 Halo rings on each side? Even came with Halo fogs.
