So im planning on taking the emblems off and painting them black. i know how to do that but how to i get them back on. Do i buy like an adhesive type glue thing or do i use that 3m double sticky tape stuff. and where would i be able to find this stuff. Autozone???

also im going to spray paint them black and use a clear coat over that. so should i sand them and then primer or just sand them and use a couple layers of paint?

I don't know much, if anything at all, about painting but, I had my H badge stolen off my Civic about a year ago and I got this automotive glue at NAPA auto parts.
No problems or complaints so far. I'll get the name of the glue in the morning if you want. I'm sure other things would work like 3M double sided tape. Maybe someone else has better ideas?

it's held stock with 3m double sided tape.... just buy more and reapply.

 

double sided 3m will do the trick for sure.

 

For my double sided sticky tape I had to cut the edges and fit it with my symbol. IMO it's a lot better than glue :X. I wouldn't won't to glue something permanently to my car.

 

ight thanks about the reapplying it ...but what should i do about the painting?

 

lightly sand it, spray primer, then color of your choice (1 or 2 coats), clear (1 or 2 coats)
