Question about insurance rates
All quotes are in 6 month incriments. So if they tell you your total is $673, then that's divided by 6, and $673 would be a hell of a quote by the way... I take it your 523 is for the 6 month coverage? That's a really good quote but it also depends what is involved in it... Are you on your own or with your parents?
i'm 21, have 3 speeding tickets (3 points) and an accident, i have essurance, maxed out every single coverage option and chose a $500 dollar deductible. i pay $236 a month. which is half of what stupid erie insurance charged me. i wish they dropped me sooner so i would of stopped being so lazy and gotten a difference policy.
also stuff like security systems help. i have scion security and lojack. lojack comes with like a certificate to show to your insurance company. oh yeah, essurance also has a good studen discount for like a b average. so you see, the more you learn the more you earn!

^ yea i forgot that too, good students, military, and some other benefits apply. Ask what they offer. Never be afraid to ask questions. That's how you find things out... They wont volunteer how to get a lower quote... But they can't lie to you. So ask away... Happy hunting. And yes, the 06 Si will cost more.
I have state farm.....

"Another thing, insurance companies don't quote you on the engine of the car. I just wanted to clarify for you. The quote itself really depends on the year of the car, how much it would cost to do repairs on the vehicle in the event of an accident, the rate of crime for the vehicle (like how likely they are to be stolen), your zip code, how much driving you'll be doing in the vehicle. "
Dude that said that i think your a bit wrong, they most certanly do factor in the engine, in texas if you are under 20 and you wanna drive a car over 280HP, most insurance companies won't even do it, soo the engine IS a factor in the car, a BIG facor

oh yeah, my tc is paid off. but the power to weight ratio is a factor. also, look out for sleazy insurance agents who try to increase your rates for stupid reasons. one of my coworkers drove a pontiac sunfire, and they told her it was a sports car because it was red!
i read another story about how an insurance agent told her that her xa would cost more to insure because scions are not "real" toyotas, and they are made out of weaker metals and are not as safe. which is total bs

You mos def better off sticking with the well known insurance companies.....
But even geicko quoted me for more a month then I pay all year with state farm....
And progressive was way higher to....
But less for other people.....
I think it depends on the indavidual....
