I finally had time to do properly clean my car today. While detailing the inside, I noticed something weird. The carpeting for the driver side doesn't go all the way up. It's cut off right above the pedals. Is this be considered normal?

 

Completely normal. I can't think of a car that isn't that way (speaking of late models, of course).

 

Thanks for the answer. Thought it was weird since my last car (90 Honda Crx) had the carpet that went all the way up.
