Default Questions about tc..

Hey whats up guys...well my question is..I drive about 400 miles per weekend...

about 300 on highway going at 75 miles/hr

So my question is is there a better way or things that i should do to help and maintain my car in good condition.

I am looking for helpful hints since this is my first new car.

Also i changed my oil at 1500k to mobil 5w-30 syn and now i just hit 5000 i am thinking i will take it to the dealer and buy mobil 1 syn oil and have them change it. And if you guys have any helpful hints.

thanks

i say your off to the right start,
i am not a mechanic but i have had 2 years basic auto school
most important is to change the oil, check all fluids regularly. i check oil and antifreeze at least once a month (this is my first brand new car also)
if it s a automatic check tranny fluid- there should be a line for hot or for cold on the dipstick
if its a manual check your hydraulic fluid resovoir
check brake fluid
let the engine warm up before revving the motor to high rpms
im a firm beleiver in running 89 octane and above so i never run regular but that will cause a lot of controversy on this site
rotate tires
pay attention to minor changes in the cars "attitude"
oh well thats just me everybodys different

Yeah, ZAC is correct about controvery on 89 octane. The stock tC runs great on 87 octane. No need to waste the money on a higher octane that will do nothing for your car. Now, if you get the supercharger in a few months???

His other points are well taken......

most gas stations around here give you mid-grade for the same price as regular. *shrug*
