this might be the wrong forum for this, but...

i know i'm old and stuff (30) but i seem to like the stealthiness/quietness of the car. the price for engine performance and horsepower gains seems negligable to me for what you get. afterall the specs on our engines isn't that bad. suspension is a different matter. i like to cut corners like i'm on rails. TRD springs, Hotchkis swaybar set, Hotchkis strut tie-bar. i'm still riding on the stock rims/tires but swooping aroung a corner ninja-like just hardens my nipples like no other. then again i could just be getting old.

I just picked up my tC yesterday and noticed how much I hate the engine/exhaust tone from the I4. I'm still clinging onto my 2JZ(IS300).

I would recommend a test drive next time.

 

Its a daily driver, can't complain much about it for 18k.

You might want to check the Power Hungry forum for exhaust info.

That being said, I actually like the sound of the tC... at least the engine. She loves to go through the gears. And I love the simple look of the TRD exhaust, but there would be no performance gain from it, so it's really useless.

 

BPU's in general are useless. That 1k can be spent elsewhere like a turbo.
