yeeeeah didnt quite make it tonight....right as i was bout to show up...boooom! pothole. blowout. bent rim. =(. and i love to thank scion for the colorful spare! might have to get a new one...is this somethin warranty/insurance will cover or am i gonna have to hand over the cash?

why would the warranty cover the fact that YOU hit the pothole? Cmon now, its up to you to get it fixed

warranty covers defects...

a pothole is NOT a defect... it's a road hazard...

lol.. unless it caused a ton of damage and you want to pay your deductible...

you gotta fork over the cash.

I have an Grade A used wheel i can sell you for $135. Band new wheels cost around $450 , let me know if you are intrested

Depending on your ins. deductable, you may have to eat up the cost for another wheel and tire. I'd also recommend having your wheel alignment checked before putting any more miles on a new tire.

And this is another reason I love my dealership. They offered me a protection package just for the tires, that indeed covers if I hit a pothole and bend a rim. There's a particular corner right by my house that tends to develop a pothole every year that is deep enough to bend rims, so it was a necessary addition that is welcome to have.

In other words, was something like that an option for you when you bought the car?

i bought that rim insurance thing the dealership offered it i figured what the hell i did that and the clear bra
