Default Rattle trap

Anyone else's TC a rattle trap? Was fine with 30 miles. Started making some noises at 100 miles. Now with 1200 miles it rattles so bad its driving me crazy. The roof creaks like hell, and something in the back rattles like no other. Going to take it in Monday/Tuesday and let the dealer try to fix it along with the stereo door that never works since I bought the car with 30 miles on it.

I have almost 200 miles so far and no noise at all. Did you check the tools and stuff in the back to see if they're all secured properly?

Let us know if the dealer figures it out.

He's nuts. I've driven in his car and I don't hear ____. And there's no problems in my car, and I've had everything out and back together again.

I think it's the voices in his head talking to him again.... :D

would rather push a Yugo....Then Drive a TC!

Cyber, I think you need to say THAN versus THEN! And you might explain the Yugo as I am sure many of our folks do not know about the YUGO.....

I got around 750 miles and my roof is creaking all the time! Closed or open. Of course the roads here in ny/nj are full of potholes. But it still makes way too much noise.

The TC i test drove was quiet as hell. I am curious to see what the dealer says and to see if alot of other people have this problem.

Scion's goal was to have most things standard for the tC. This helped keep the price down as production was for color/transmission/and air bags. That is it. All other accessories can be done at port or by dealer or by yourself. Personally I think the complete moonroof but understand those who wanted it optional. But then I think the price would have been more.

I think the comment about having the sunroof as an option was related to noise or creeking assocaited with the sunroof. If this is true, then I completely disagree with the comment. FIX the PROBLEM don't treat the SYMPTOM.

The roof doesn't bother me much at all, since in only creaks when I go over a bump. The constant rattle from the rear is what is driving me crazy because its non-stop.

There is a thread for the solution to this problem. It's a quick free fix, just a matter of tightening some screws. No big deal. Not everyone has it but those who do can get it fixed real quick. Do a search for the fix.
