I have a black 08 tC,

all stock, just bought.

The only thing i have done is smoke out headlights and tail lights.

I have gotten ideas from friends and they say get:

*Headers

*Cold Air Intake

*New Muffler

*lower it with lowering springs..

Are these good ideas?

how much do you have to spend? first thing would be springs, then an Injen CAI, maybe exhaust. but of course it depends on how much you have to spend?

Im going to finish school, then get a summer job.

Everything i make is going to go to the car,

but i guess I would want to get the cheapest things out of the way first.

any brand i should be looking at exactly?

What kind of Lowering springs should I get, or does it really matter?

Im looking at some right now, and they say that they will drop the tC 1.8 to 1.9 in.?

 

are you looking for performance from your springs or do you just want to slam it?

if you're going for performance, do what i did and save up and get some coils. OR you could go with TRD springs and a TRD Rear sway. the drop isnt much but I hear its a good setup and helps you corner better. esp with the trd rear sway. (i have one myself)

but if you cant afford that right now, get some HID's from MobileHID.com, some VRD fog lights and a badgless grill.

I got the TRD Springs and I enjoy them, I came from a truck so being in a car is a big enough change, let alone being lower so I figured I'd go springs and if I needed lower I could. The difference in springs and coils is about 1000$ installed I think, possibly more, so you may want to evaluate that.

I guess it comes down to what you feel you will want/need and whether you want to focus on aesthetics or performance.

So far all I have is springs, s2k antenna, alarm. Next is a little bit of tint, VRD Grill and possibly check out what I can do about getting a badge less garnish.

There are plenty of performance mods such as CAI, Sway Bar, Exhaust etc that are all viable and have there place.

Also if you get the right stickers, you can guarantee an extra 10-15 Horsepower out of your ride.

Smoked headlights?


Since you are Texas, look into a Tein S-Tech or H-tech drop, that will be nice for you. Pick up any brand intake you want that sounds good to you, and also an exhaust that sounds good to you and you're set in that department. Doesnt really matter which one you get, the performance gains are minimal. Also do yourself a favor and dont get headers. Its just a bunch of rasp you are going to get with minimal HP gains. Not worth it IMO.

Short shifter if you have a stick, HIDs and tints are good starters as well.

Change all the Scion badges to Lexus badges and put 22"s on it.
Chrome 22"s.

Oh, and a NOS sticker on your back windshield, and a Shocker sticker on your front one.

That'll turn heads.
Make sure you raise it though, or the 22"s will rub.


...But really:
Lowering springs/coils.
HID's.
Lip kit.
Badgless grille/VRD fogs.
Nice set of rims.
Clazzio's.

That's all you need for a clean Cee, my friend.

 

are you going for go or show? a sway bar does wonders from what i've heard and tints make any car look good imo. Oh and no one can resist shiny lights! There's that $60 hid sale thingy goin on..
