Default rear glass

ok i know the rear glass isnt able to slide -- but -- i wonder how hard it would be to take both front and rear peaces out during the spring and summer - kindof convertible style ???? any comments

I'd imagine that any seal or water-proofing system Scion had would probably be ruined. If you attempt it and it works, that would be tight ........

I can't believe this topic was even posted. What would the point of that be? It would probably be pretty difficult to remove not to mention hard to reinstall. If you want a convertible buy a Solara.

to be diferent - thats why people by tv's and subs for there car - maybe to be diferent - or maybe cuz it hasnt been done - why would i want a solara ??? same reason people cut roofs off cars - but the glass can be put back on - since i do work at a car interior and sunroof install store i think i would be quite easy for me - but thanx for the comment and i hope i dont change or add anythingto ur car to be different cuz - as u say that would be a waste of time

Not that I would ever do it, but at least the moveable roof has to be pretty easy. It's hooked up with some metal pieces to a sliding rail - I can't imagine that part can't be unbolted somehow - it slides almost all the way out of the car - how hard can it be? The back one I'd leave alone. You'd most likely permanently wreck a seal or two. On the downside, if you cut a big open square hole in your roof and then drive on the freeway, I bet it throbs pretty bad. That's why the sunroof doesn't open all the way when you hold the button down - all the way open it throbs in the wind.
