rear view mirror mount
I want to mount my v1 radar detector between the ceiling and my rear view mirror, my question is:
1) how do you remove the rear view mirror
and
2) is there a mirror stem that I can buy that will let me mount the mirror lower. It has to be low enough so that the rear lens on the detector can "see" out the rear window.

the mirror itself kinda just slides towards the top of the windshield and comes out. I took it out for the window tinter when I had the windows done.
i haven't seen aynthing like what was mentioned in #2

On the 05, the mirror actually moves up and down, as well as about two inches vertically. I don't think they changed the mirror mount.
Go try it it, you should be able to position the mirror anywhere you want.
