i like the way the car looks without it better then i think it would with one. i just use the rear window defog when it's like raining or something and it keeps the window really clear.

I prefer a rear wiper on my cars too. In it's absense, I
highly recommend Rain-X.

Get the glas SUPER clean and do a good double coat of
Rain-X and after 35MPH everything just sheets off.

The car's heavy enough... we don't need another 30 or 40 pounds for extra wiper hardware.

i believe the leaving out of the rear wiper was a mistake, rain x is a good solution, but its a hassle. especially here in socali, it rains like 3 weeks out of the year, and its always out of nowhere so u have to pull into a gas station and look like an idiot as u clean your windows in the middle of a downpour with people looking at u like, "..why the f__k is that guy cleaning his windows?! doesent he know its RAINING!!.." just a few thoughts....

30-40lbs for a wiper? Damn, us xA and xB's have plastic wipers that are light as hell. . . and I can't imagine a low speed motor to be that heavy, but I don't really know for sure. . . it's funny because so many xB's are removing their rear wipers.

If you apply it once a month or so, you will not be caught without it. I don't really see the big deal about a rear wiper. I have an XB and would love not to have one. They are almost useless and they rattle like crazy when you turn the music up.

It's more than just the wiper arm itself... you've got the arm, the motor, the wiring and switches, the frame that the motor mounts to, brackets... etc. etc. When I was doing hardcore weight reduction on a Civic hatchback I removed all of the rear whiper assembly from the car and reduced it about 32 pounds. Every little bit makes a difference when your tC weighs in at almost 3 bills

I plan on doing a custom wiper install using the xB's rear wiper. But thats a few years down the road (when the totaled xB's show up in the junk yards haha)

I thought about doing a wiper install ion my car also....if i were to do it, id use a celica wiper....from what i can tell, they would match up quite well and there is plenty of room behind the tCs hatch plastic to fit the motor. Just waiting till I get really really bored with my vehicle to do something like that or the warranty is out.
