I live in Virginia and the DMV refuses to list my car as a Scion tC. My registration card says it's a Toyota Scion, which we all know doesn't exist. Yesterday, I received my new card and now it just says "Toyota" with no model listed.

I am wondering if there are others with this problem, and if they've ever had issues when pulled over by an officer.

 

Same thing here in GA....Toyota Scion...never had an issue.

 

Same here in PA .. it just says make: Toyota and model: CP.. that's all

 

At least your says "Scion" somewhere on it. My new card only has Toyota with the model left blank. I hate the DMV.

 

Model: cp ??? What the heck is that?

 

Don't worry about it, check your VIN, if the VIN on the registration matches the car, don't bother fighting with the DMV, you efforts are futile.

 

Mine says Toyota, I'm not even sure if it says Scion. I know for sure it doesn't say tC. Like ecko04 said as long as the VIN matches it doesn't matter what its listed under.

 

At least they were close. My inspection paper and sticker say
Make: Honda
Model: Civic

Shoot me.

 

I don't know why they do that. I've yet to hear of anyone with Toyota Lexus on their card so why can't we get our recognition?

Toyota in PA. CP is Coupe. I think mine said Toyota Coupe for the longest time. I was wondering if it was a Paseo, Solara, Celica, Supra or what...

 

mine here in NC just says Toyota Scion

 

It is in fact a Toyota, not sure why people read so much into this and cause a riot. Anyway, for what it's worth my registration says Toyota Scion

One of mine said Toyota: Maserati. Ya wrap your head around that one.

 

I'm in VA too but mine says Toyota TC.
