Just when you think you've seen it all...

Crazy crap like this steps in and smacks you in the face.

Sorry that you have to waste your time and spend even more than what that jerk could have bought a sticker for.

it's in West Los Angeles area. At least that's where my car had been in the last few days before I noticed this.

Man, that does suck! When I apply mine, I cut it with a blade, crosshatch it...but if someone comes and cuts the whole damn thing off then that's pointless. Just put it together like a puzzle, damn.

Chances are the person has a stolen car. Cops usually run plates w/expired tags, and not picking someone out at random, unless their car looks like a piece of **** or they look like a dirtbag. Or he is just poor and can't register his/her car. But I'm betting more on the tab is for a stolen car SAM123.

That's insane. I have a clear cover on my back plate, but I don't think it would stop something like THAT.

Man, who carries tin snips with them, and not a screwdriver? What I'm wondering is: How did they get the vertical cut? I can see cutting sideways while the plate is on the car, but how did the cut it vertically? Cut into the plate and stand there wiggling the piece of metal till it snapped off?

wow that sucks. I say forget paying the state for a new one. You pay the police officers to do their job and clearly they were sleeping on the job. Just wait till next year. I mean they should have records that you paid for registration on file with the state (hopefully). Maybe have them print out a piece of paper to keep with your stuff that says yea he's ok to drive. A slap in the face would be if it was someone workign for the government to make more money.
