Relay- LEDs to Parking lights Help(MSPaint included)
The pictures i drew probably took longer than it will to install the headlights.
I have Meng 6000K bulbs and decided to get projector headlights off Ebay. I know people hate these because the CCFLs and LEDS blow out. I bought them mainly for the projector housing since 08 Projectors are expensive and hard to find. They look really bad ___ and cool just sitting in the box.
I want to wire the CCfL/LEDs to the parking light so when the parking lights are off, they're off and when the parking lights are on, i can either have them on or off with a switch.
I need help with the relays and the switch. **Does anyone know if Radio Shack/Autozone sell a switch that is the perfect fit for the punch out to the left of the steering wheel?** Also, do i use 3 prong relays and do i need 2 or 3. I know the very basics of wiring?
If the first picture. You have the 3 LED negative wires T-Tapped into the parking light negatives
Then im going to take a 6 inch piece of wire and wire nut it to the 3 positive wires of the LEDs and T-Tap the other end to the parking light positive.
That 6 inch wire is going to have a relay in the middle.
...This is just to give me more room to connect the 3 LED wires to the parking lights with the relay.
Thats going to be for the left and right side and then im going run a wire from the relay(left headlight) to the switch and T-Tap the right headlight relay into it somewhere before the firewall.
The 2nd picture is just the same as above only instead of running the 2 relays to 1 wire and that wire to a switch. I ran the left and right relays to another relay and that one relay through the firewall to the switch.
Does this sound Okay? Thoughts? Suggestions? Am i an idiot?
Thanks

Wired them up with a 5 prong relay and they work just like i want them to. Took me about 2.5 hours and a trip to autozone. I feel if i had to do it on another TC, i could wire and install the headlights in less than a hour. If anyone every needs help with a 5 prong relay....just ask, i mastered them.
Found a switch online that fits the punch out. Right now i just have a basic switch that is the shape of a oval nickel and doesn't fit and is just hanging down through the hole.
