2006 tC

I thought it was the batteries so I changed it but the car's locks are still not responding when I press the key fob's buttons.

I tried to re-program it by following the instructions here: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sci...y-system-5977/

...but I don't think it had any effect because the doors never did the auto lock/unlock at step 6. So I'm wondering if it's a different problem than just having to re-program the keys?

Also, I don't know if this is significant but usually when the door is open and you put the key in the ignition, you will hear the car ding ding ding like usual. But it isn't doing that for me. No sound at all.

Also, another thing, my headlights don't turn off automatically anymore when I open my doors. Not sure if that has anything to do with this either.
