Rims or Sound System
Im in a dillema(?) should I purchase 19" rims or a Pioneer AVIC D1 with options Xm Traffic dealy, Ipod Adapter. Please help, and yes I realize the D1 only does navigation I dont have a need for a dvd player unless someone can get me a really sweet deal on one.
Hummmmm,
Awesome question. I was in the position to get my 19's and my Alpine IVA-D900 at the same time.
Think of what would get you more attention?
If I were you and had to pick I would go for the rims. I just finished my stereo and dropped well over 5K but people see me coming from a distance because of the 2" lip on my rimz....>!
Now they can hear me coming from a distance if I so desire.....haha
I'd say rims man! Which ones do you have in mind?
Holla!!!

think about this- is the nav for show, or because you need it? i didn't look at the specs, but if it is a new HU i would say to go for it, because the stock HU sucks. if it's just nav, then get the rims.
I'd say rims first but how are the roads where you live? If you drive on crappy roads (like where I live where potholes are often unavoidable in traffic), your new hobby is gonna be replacing tires. I do plan on getting rims myself eventually, but past memories of bubbled sidewalls and bent rims keep holding me back. At least with audio, you pretty much know it'll last, unless it gets stolen of course.
