Default road trips

searched around but didnt really see a topic for this...

So whats the longest trip you've taken in your tc?

And how many times did you have to fill up?

Plus as a little bonus, whats the fastest you've pushed your car while on a road trip?

for me... it was from orlando to ft lauderdale... pushed it to 120. on the turnpike.. couple days before thanksgiving...

took about half a tank...

I've been to houston twice now and I plan on driving back again next saturday. (from orlando)

Its about 1000 miles and if I remember correctly its about 17 hrs taking about 3 and half tanks. Its a fun drive, I pushed my baby to about 110 once. I'm not really out to speed cause I got pulled over a little bit after that, but luckily I got off with a warning.

oh yeah and endless its at night, forget about it cause there are troopers all over the highway once you get out of fl. I think I must have saw like 5 charger popos last time I went.

a road trip must consist of over 225 miles. Driving 2 hours is not a road trip, that's a commute.

Wow, 1000 mile drive took 17 hours? Did you stop along the way? I am in ATL and my relatives live in Lincoln Nebraska and its right at 1000 to my g'mas house. And me crusing at 80-85 all the way...never went about that...it took me like around 12-13 hours. It was a few years ago now so i can't remember exactly how long it was but i remember i left here around 7am and got there around 8 central time...(losing an hour) so right around 13 hours and some change. it was about the same time driving back aswell. Kept hitting construction in St. Louis...Damn that city! Do they ever finish paving the roads.. LOL!

Oh, I have done it in the new car as well!

G35...
Manassas, VA to Fort Huachuca, AZ - 2243 miles
Fort Hood, TX to Fort Huachuca, AZ - 888 miles (1776 round trip. Two times!)

Needless to say, I drive a LOT!

I am going to make up for all of those miles in 2009. I plan on putting ZERO miles on the G.

i've driven non stop from laytonsville maryland to orlando florida (about 920 miles)and then the return trip 6 months later was also non stop.

then while i was in college, i would drive 125 miles one way to from frostburg state university to laytonsville and back every weekend for my job. racked up alot of miles on my tc. now that i have graduated, i'm getting my oil changed every 6 months instead of 5000 miles! my commute to work is so short right now!

We drove from Tacoma ,WA to Portland,OR.visited some friends.....then set off to Medford,OR and stayed the night with more friends...got up at 4am and drove all the way through to Palmdale,CA........partied with friends till midnight and then headed to the hotel next to Disneyland.Stayed a few days and then Headed up to San Francisco and stayed the night. Then 101 up to Trinidad and stayed in a cabin and saw the redwoods, then back to Tacoma.

Not sure how far it was total, but car does not take long to 120mph and my butt was sure sore after all that driving.

Total fuel cost was $480....gas seems like it was around the $2.29 a gallon range.

Default road trip-311 day

March 10 08, i drove from Altus, Ok to New Orleans, La for 311 day. Peace 311 fans. I'd have to check all the details but i know it was at about 90 the whole way with my sidekick the Valentine1. I was over 110 a couple times runnin with ppl on the highway. As far as gas milage i never even calculated. What can you expect from a 4 cylinder at 90. Not good. I had absolutly no issues. It was just under 800 miles 1 way. I did it in under 10 hours. Drove back on the 12th, again at about 90 and again, no issues. I love my TC.
