So here it is on other post I have said im building one this cage is defiantly not done… I painted it red just for HOT IMPORT NIGHTS in Chicago I had the only rollcage/rollbar in my car for the TC's I built this cage in one week on my 30min lunch breaks at work I have only one of the mounting brackets hooked up I still have to do the floor mount I cut around the pipe and let it sink into the bottom of the floor so it looked mounted I just started to grind the welds down im going to have it come all the way up to the front follow the dash line and go across the front dash following the gauge lines so it all flows.. its going to have a 3/16 thick side bar by the door and a optional window net and yes this will be all for show cause as people have said the TC had a good enough roll support from factory so I figured I shouldn’t make it heavy but it will give the body structural support from twisting and turning the cage I have in there now weights like 10 or 15lbs...... HOPE YOU LIKE IT I will keep ya posted on the progress
P.S- ITS ALL BOLT IN

oh yea all you would have to do is make it were the crossmembers are bolt into or just make a half cage for just the drivers seat the possibilitys are of a rollcage are endless well not really but i can do just about anything cuase i can bend pipe all they way to a 120degree bend i will post some more pics up later this week of how i make it a bolt in cage there might be a possibiltiy i might start to build custom ones for people that need access for back seats or just a custom design but i have to talk to my boss first

is that built to your spec or did you have that scca / nhra approved..... having a roll cage without proper supporting mods is much more dangerous than having a cage at all

nope like I said im building it just for looks I could build it to spec but I just want something that no one has different its what will help win shows im not planning on going autox or be in the really low times at the strip the only holes I will drill is to mount the back part to the floor and im using 5/8 thick plate with 4 holes that have 3/8 grade 8 bolts and on the underside will be another plate 5/8 thick that the 3/8 bolts go through so it will be a supper tight and secure fit like I said ITS JUST FOR LOOKS the 4 holes on the back part of the cage that go through the floor are the only holes that will be drilled the rest of the cage is off places that already have places that I find it to bolt to.. If your thinking why don’t I just make it scca/nhra approved is cause then it won’t be different…

well I wouldn’t do anything that would effect the structural support to be weaker and im not planning on flipping my car its all for show and I think I would have heard about it from the ncca judges at HIN last weekend they didn’t say anything bad about it they said wow the only tc here with a cage nothing bad and second if I don’t bolt it to the floor then im not doing any damage to it or making it not safe at all
LIKE I SAID ITS FOR LOOKS what about the people that put big ___ intercoolers on the front and either A. remove the front support bar or B. cut it....
