Default RPM'S Dropping??

Ok i think this has been discussed before...but the dropping of the RPMS is normal when you come to a stop right? Because we have that drive by wire system? It just scares me when it happens because it drops so low real quick it feels like it wants to stall but it doesnt..it just drops..then jumps up but you can feel it when it does it....really wierd!!!

I forgot to mention that i have a 5speed.

it's not because of the drive by wire system. it's what cars do, both automatic and manual. when you push the clutch pedal in, the RPMs are going to drop.

it happens all the time. i thought that my car was gonna stall too and i was worried. but i called the dealer and they said its perfectly normal. when your car is cold, it will idle at the start at 1000 rpm's. when you are driving, it should idle at 650-750 rpm's. perfectly normal. dont worry bout it!

no

i tink he meant when he's driving then he approaches a light or a stop. he glides in neutral for a while thus pressing down the clutch. teh RPM's drop down towards 700 rpm but it goes down even more to about 200-300 rpm then bounces up to 700.

ya tats normal.

you don't need the clutch in to be in neutral..hell, you don't even need the clutch to get into neutral.
