That had better come with some lube if they plan on bending people over like that.

I think if people want a RS1 grill then they should buy a RS1.

That's the whole point of it being a special edition. In my mind, it's like getting a Civic LX and putting an SI badge on it or type-R on a base Integra. I would have gotten the RS at my local dealer, except I want blue, not red.

It wouldn't be that hard to make a press form of the grill return the car and cast your own grill out of plastic. Just gotta know the right people.

unbelieveable. i expected around $200-$300 at the very most. i see why they are doing it. by having the grille, regular tC owners would have 1/10 of the "RS package." maybe if they did a better job at making the release series cars "special" other people getting the grille wouldn't ruin the exclusivity. all the RS tC has is the color, the grille, the different color 18" wheels, the numbered badge, red seats, the door sills, the floor mats, strut bar, battery tiedown, and oil cap. and the last 3 are hardly ever seen. it sounds like a lot of things, but they are such small differences. if they gave it a different body kit and a different spoiler, that would definately add to the "specialness."

Hmmm not quite the same thing there. The differences between the RS tC and the stock tC are so minor that one could emphasize wanting the slightly nicer looking grille.

There are noticable performance differences between the lx/si or a ls/type r.

My point is that no one is going to think you're a poser if they look at your black tC with the rs1 grille... not that anyone would buy one for that much.

Wierd that nobody believed me a month ago when I said it would be about that much...

Like I said, even if you want to shell out the money, you probably won't be able to get one for quite a while if ever.

Just wait for some aftermarket company to step up and sell us all what we want. A blacked out metal sport grill.

dude.. that's gotta be a typo or something. seriously, what were they smoking when they came up with that, and where can i get some?

this is the dumbest thing i've heard all day.. if i hear of anyone paying that much for a grille that probably cost $10 to manufacture then they should be led out into the street and shot in the back of the head.

That's kind of morbid. I guess I won't sell my kidney and purchase this grille.

Man, with how Cheap the whole tC is...I can't believe how much their individual parts cost. If a car had a grill that costed $1200 then I would think the whole car would cost like $50,000!

$1000 for a friggin grille? I can only imagine how much it would cost to get a cracked bumper replaced...

screw scion on this deal..seriously.

if they would stop and look at the big picture here. think if they sold 1000 RS1.0 grilles @ $200 each thats more money than they would make selling 5 of them @ $1000+

they are just being stingy. i say we write them about it! Thought Scion was all about expresion and "what moves you" and moding your car, making it yours...not giving us too many options if ____ is gonna cost $1000 for a piece of plastic!!!!!

Well not to disagree but they do offer a body kit and spoiler at additional cost but yea they have lost their minds with these prices...
