The panel under the steering wheel has a diagram of where each fuse is and what each fuse are for.

check the panel underneath the steering wheel. Once you take off the cover, flip it and it tells you which fuse is for what.

I'm guessing the one that says "TAIL" is for the tail lights (running lights). I have a feeling that the bulbs went bad though.

I had both brake lights go out on the 96 Protege that I had a long time ago. I didn't think that both bulbs would go out at the same time, so I did a lot of testing and everything looked OK. Finally went to the dealership and they charged me over $80 for fixing it (1 hour shop time plus cost of replacement bulbs). Turned out both bulbs went bad. Expensive mistake.

The car was 3 yrs old with less than 60k miles on it when it happened.

have you done anything to the car? Any moisture in the brake light assembly or in the trunk?

hmmm sounds like a wiring problem. I would put another one in just in case and if that one goes out. time to take a trip to the dealership.

As I said in the post, they charged an hour shop time. They did some troubleshooting, but ended up being the bulbs. Shop time + bulbs = $80+

Would help if you actually gave more info. "Lights don't work. Fuses blow out. What's wrong" could be a number of things.

Are they stock bulbs? Stock tail light housings? E-bay housings? Install any new electronics, stereo equipment, etc? Install interior lighting recently? Maybe it was something you installed a long time ago and is now catching up to you.

ok here we go

stock tails, stock bulb.
no new electronics
i have a aftermarket stereo, underglow, and interior glow, and glow in my grill. aswell as a amp.

interior glow is ran off the cigarette lighter
grill glow is ran to battery and is grounded on frame of car, base is ran from battery and grounded inside the trunk bed by the sparetire. underglow is ran to battery and is grounded on frame of car.

i havnt done a new thing in a long ___ time so i dont know. i do have the grill glow unhooked atm. i took it off few weeks ago cuz it was killing my battery for some reason, so i just unhooked it till i get tiem to look at it.

the fuse number 16. the 10a keeps blowing i plug it in and turn the car on, turn the lights on then pop it blows. i did see my tails work for like 2 sec once then it blew..

any other questions?

im going to take it to another dealer today becuase the one i went to last night, i dont even think someone looked at my car. the lady gave me the excuse that i have so many aftermarket parts that there going to need 3 or 4 hours to look at my car.... bull____ bull____ bull____....

sooo any help would be greatful. thanks alot
