Default Running out of 2006 tCs?

I'm new to the posting board. Please be gentle. I Live in SC where I have found very few tCs. Dealerships here only order like 2 at a time and they go pretty fast. I was told that I can special order from Jacksonville because I have certain options I want. I was planning on waiting until late summer/early fall to purchase. I don't want a 2007 nor anything used. Should I be panicking? Should I move up the date of purchase? I'm trying to save as much as I can to put down as a down payment. That's the basis of the delay. Thanks guys!

If you're waiting until late summer or early fall, it's likely going to be a 2007 unless you just happen to find a left over. The new model years start appearing in early-mid July in certain places.

How much do you intend on putting down/what options do you want? It's already going to be slim pickins at this point as it is.

Ped spoiler, fog lights, & iPod/Sat Radio. Obviously the longer I wait, the more cash I have to put down. Sept 1st was my personal deadline with 2k down. Now it's the longer I wait, the more likely I won't get. Sooo I have to think about this a little more. Thanks so much!

2k down should be enough to get you the car with payments under 3...

I put 8K down on my RS2.0 and I'm making $277 a month...it is still too high for me though...Imagine if it was a normal tC then my payments would be probably under $250 a month.

Damn, looks like the financial advisor's posting board in here! Look, whatever you decide to put down and what your payments will be depend on YOU. (I could go into my payment scheme just like everyone else, but why do that!). It also depends on the term of payment (36-72 mos) - something no one has mentioned here. Maybe you should talk to someone with financial and budgeting experience.

But I agree with some of these guys - get what you want! This is your car and it sounds like your scrimping and working hard toward your goal. Why not personalize it the right way. Ballerize the ride, bro!

How would the 2007 be ugly... they're not changing it?

close to mine, it was $19,203 and i put down $3,500 and payments are $317. I didnt order my car though, another kid ordered it to replace his prior tC that he tottaled. But his insurence was giving him the run around with paying out, i had the money. So needless to say the dealership went with the person that could pay them then and there. It also happened to be accerized exactly the way i wanted it to be.

Sept. 1 will definitely mean you will get a 2007 model. But I can't understand why that's a bad thing. I ordered mine in early September last year and it arrived in late October. Mine is an 06.

if nothing is changing for the 07, why would anyone not want a newer year. it'll hold the resale value more than the 06 obviously b/c it's 1 year older. are they going to increase the 07 tC prices??? i'd imagine they would. b/c scion is pure pricing, what are they going to do when the time comes to transition fron 06 model to 07. increase 07 prices and decrease 06?

i pretty much have the options your looking for on my bsp tC, you interested in purchasing mine??? lol

wait and get '07. no price change, slightly, if any, but if you do need to sell your car later down the line 07 is better than 06

i didn't know 06 was coming out 3 weeks after i got mine...i would've waited.

The reason I don't want a 2007 is I want to know if there are any "bugs" first before I buy. I want to make sure Scion fixes them if there are.

2007 = the same thing as the 2006.

Right now the port is out of ipod radios. Especially ipod radios with sat.

If anything, it's likely to have LESS bugs than the other models. Any TSB from previous models should have been addressed in production of the 07 and this being the 3rd model year, they've likely worked out any production kinks along the way of a new model.
