yeah but don't those cars ALREADY come with suspension packages???
i mean the civic gets a suspension package when getting the SI... the GTI gets its own package beautifully engineered to the car... and im pretty sure the SS gets a suspension package over stock for more aggressive handling...
and the super tc stays with stock suspension??? no wonder it sucked in handling...

AS compared, the tC is crap in handling.
Why else would there be so many threads on suspension upgrades here?
Be real, who cares?
I bet the tC outsells them all.
And I know which one I'd rather have...

I think they confused the tC for a sports coupe. It's just a econo-coupe that happens to be fun to drive, unlike all the others. A supercharger does not a sports car make (but it sure does add to the fun-to-drive factor)!
You can blame the dealers for that one.. they keep calling it the "new celica."

lol the TC is from Japan?
I think it was a fair comparison, they could have just compared all those cars to a stock tC but they chose to compare a F/I tC. Just like to add that a supercharged tC would cost just as much if not more than a cobalt SS I've seen some supercharged tC's at dealer for 26K. The sticker price for that tC was probably higher than most of those cars.

gti... starts at $22,730
si.... starts at $21,110
ss... starts at $21,540
tc ... starts at $17,620
yeah, the one they tested had a supercharger, but that still leaves you money for trd parts.
Plus SciontCya had a good point..."The tC is NOT a performance car off the lot."

I agree with others, it isn't a sports car, if it was it would come with upgraded parts right off the lot (i.e. suspension...etc) and not being optional parts.
Granted you can make it into a sports coupe and yes doing so causes it to be a bit more, but at the same time you don't have to deal with dealership markup on the tC (which is insane for some cars), you don't have to pay a higher price for parts you don't want if you just want a nice coupe, and if you want the option to make it a bit more sporty the dealer offers a lot of options that don't void warranties, which I think is by far a better deal then anything else.
