Default Said goodbye to my tC today :(

Not for good. Just for about 2 months.
Took it to the vehicle shipping people. Did the inspection and they are loading it onto a truck to take it out to California. Then putting it on a boat headed out to sea to Guam!

Cant wait to get it back. I already miss it. Withdraw is going to suck!!!

Hopefully it makes it there safe. I told them to be careful on the loading ramps and all. They classified it as low clearance so I guess they use special precatuations. They measured the front end and it only has 4.2" of clearance. Hope they can get it on and off the truck in one piece.

Hope all goes well for your tC. It'd be a shame to see it damaged.

Sick, I am shipping out for Guam next wed. Gonna be spending the next 4 years there. Couldnt imagine not having my ride that long, so I shipped it instead of storing it.
I hope it makes it there ok as well. I hat having to worry about it for so long.

Good luck with the shipping, mine made it onto a flat bed fine with stock bumper and Tein S-Techs. I'd take the bumper off if I didn't think it would make it on/off.

The military is paying for it, so its all good. But its not to terribly expensive. I was quoted $750 for a second car. Not to bad if you think about it.

Thanks!!

Deffinetly not my first departure from the US. I have done 4 tours in the middle east. Including Afghanistan and Iraq.
Plus I was stationed in Germany for 2 years. Then in Italy for 4 years. I have spent most of my time since turning 18 out of the states. I love living abroad!!!!

I've never had problems when I had cars shipped. My Dad was Air Force and we shipped cars a couple times. The only time we ever got damage was when they stored it in Atlanta while we were in Germany and their storage garage flooded.

I have shipped 3 cars, and each time I have had minor issues. My porsche, they broke the front bumper trying to get it onto the transport truck to take it from Germany to Italy. My wifes car was such a dumb mistake on their part.
They put a tag on the key that was long then put the key in the drivers side door lock. 2 months of it blowing in the wind, DESTROYED the paint around the key hole.

I was never worried until now. With what my car has done, there is so much custom that can be messed up.
