Default is the salesman trying to pull a fast one on me?

i've bought other cars and i've gotten them at very low prices, but i just talked to the internet sales manager and i was looking for a white scion tC and he stated that the prices comes out to about 19. he said that power door locks and power windows were not included and all of this stuff added to the price.

the scion website states it at 17,000 + dealer fee's...i clearly asked him for a bare tC with no options added. all i wanted was the headunit with the ipod compatibility.

he said it had some gold package..whatever that was.

should i be paying 17,000 + dealerfee's + ttl + my options?

Print out your car the way you want it from Scion.com, bring it to the Scion dealership, ask if you can get it just like that, and it should come to the printed price plus 1500-2200 on taxes and what not. For bone stock with taxes it should be no more than 19000 with decent credit! If they try to rip you off, call scion customer care and complain.

that's what i was thinking...

i forgot the last time that pdl and pw werent standard. i'd understand if it was the corolla CE..

but i will be calling up other dealerships. i plan to pay in full, and i would rather not pay 100 dollars for their floor mats. ill just buy them on ebay or something.

good move. If there's an accessory that you can install yourself, do it. Something like floormats you can find in the aftermarket for a lot less. You can also find the body kit, spoiler, and all other accessories, but it depends on how good you are with installing stuff.

oh yeah, that works real good. . . just call, and make an appointment with the GM, and when you walk-in, odds are the guy will recognize you and talk to you, and just say, I got an appointment with your GM, and trust me, they will cower in FEAR!! MUAH HA HAAA!

being non-commissioned, I've never lied about anything, ever...that's how I'm working my way to management...

tell him to go kcuf ffo ... scion pure pricing should apply. go configure your scion online and got o a different dealer. turn him in to toyota.. he is not suppose to do that. scion promotes pure pricing no haggling.

He's already lied to you.

I'd just f'em and go to a different dealership.

Call him up and tell him that too, he'll feel real good!

My base was 17,890 if I remember correctly.

I'd drive a little out of my way if I was you. Seems fishy...

Call 1-866-70-SCION. Report the salesperson. Call the GM too. But maybe the entire dealership sales team are a bunch of liars. Then find another dealer that will treat a customer right.

Not for nothing, not all sales people are liars...of course we have a bad name in this business, but it ruins it for people like myself and the other two salesman that we have selling scions here. We dont need to lie to people, theres no reason to when selling these cars...it is what it is

Hey now, I'm not deffending all salseman, and deffenitly not the one in question, but I'm a commision sales and finance guy for Scion. I, nor does my partner, never lie, never push some product or accesory that the customer dosnt want, or do anything a "typical" salesman does. I take a lot of pride in this company and the purchase process is the best in the business if done the way Scion wants, this salesman however is a liar and dosnt get the whole concept...."gold" package, gimmie a break!
