well like the title says, my buddy and I were going to Orlando to drop off his sister, then we saw a scion tc like an 08 type, but it says on the left side near the tail light "hybrid"


Does anybody know like what motor they used to turn the tc to hybrid?

eh...sort of. there is a variant of the 2az-fe called the 2az-fxe and thats what your talkin about. I am fairly sure that it would be interchangable, but what would be the point ? lol

Yea I saw an IS 350 with the F badge lol, but I wouldnt be surprised cause there is a version of our engine thats hybrid, the tC does suck on gas so maybe they got a clue lol

they probably put it on there to get away with driving in the HOV lane... there is a guy near me with a Viper that did that.

An experiment/never produced so it has to be a sticker! Both may have an 2AZ, but to get the Atkinson motor would require different internals/drivetrain swap, & it'd take a lotta work to get the electrical stuff to work on tC.

 

when i went to the evolution meet a couple days ago..they where talkin about putting a hydro something system in your tc for 500 bucks..dealer installed. They tried this hydro thing on a tundra and it went from 17 mpg to 28 mpg. Maybe that really was a hybrid tc

 

I think... I know what you're talking about. I saw that tc in the preview of transformer 2, Sh*t is badass
