do that with a turbocharged xB and you'll end up like me with no transmission

wheel hop is when you start hard from a dead stop and instead of peeling out, it sounds and feels like your front two wheels are hopping off the ground because they are trying to grab.

It is common in every FWD car there is. Get motor mounts and a dampner and it should help. This is the exact reason that people drive and build RWD cars instead.

Yeah, and the stiffer the suspension the more violent it seems. Man, first time I did that in the RSX.... felt like my ***** went in my throat it scared the ____ out of me so bad. LOL

I always read that wheel hop can destroy your CV axles. A few good hops will crack them. This was on cavaliers though so maybe it was due to cheaper parts but, who knows.

As for getting wheel hop, the only time I get it is on dry pavement and only a couple times. I can adjust a launch to keep from getting it. Maybe it is not as fast but I do not drag race.

WHEEL HOP: An undesirable suspension characteristic in which a wheel (or several) moves up and down so violently that it actually leaves the ground. Wheel hop can be caused by many problems, including excessive unsprung weight, insufficient shock damping, or poor torsional axle control.

About the lateral side of the tire being able to hold 5 times better than an air tire, is awsome, better grip in corners. Super for circuit cars. What about F1 cars, why do they not use this kind of tire? Or Nascar or Le Mans? It's an awsome technology.

its too new thats why... still in the testing stages... from what i read on sites, they are really bad with road noise... if they can fix this problem, i think this is the future of automotive technology..

They just started to develop it. If you read the article they mention it's still in it's premature stage of development. Sucks because the rims will be limited to customizing...

Another Q... how would they cost? Since there are so many less parts involve, would that be reason to lower the price? Also How much durable would they be? Would it be like buying new wheels? Hum....

The tires above are a cool idea but probably will take sometime to be released to market due to the cost of making tire plants around the world switch to all new machines and manufacturing process is a HUGE cost
