Default Scion and its standing with younger crowd

When I tell guys my own age I got a scion they are like no way thats awesome. I think Toyota did a really good job marketing this new brand. The scion name resonates very well with the college and high school crowd. It is seen as a very "cool" brand.

Those are defintelty the top 2 responses. If I hear "is that the one that looks like a box again I might go nuts. The other I hear is, "is that the new toyota?"

Depend really on what "culture" you're from.

If you are into that whole thug rap culture then people will probably accept your xB. Where as the whole Emo/rock crowd thinks they're awful.

are you nuts, i think its the other way around... most all of my friends are in punk bands, and id say 35 percfent of them drive the xB. everyones in love with that car in the punk scene. its very spacious, has personality, and it can transport everything comfortably.... and punk scene people ususally arent into power, just functionality.... its a perfect car..... what a totally backwards comment that was

All the girls in my life love my car when they see it, and a select few of them like the reclining feature of the seats

The xA was basically what? The Matrix. The xB was um... Unique. Sort of Honda Element-ish. The tC is the first Scion I like. Not only like, but really really like. Hell, love even. I love getting a bargain, and the tC is just that. The best bang for the buck. Looks beautiful too, so it's not just a functional thing. With a few modifications you're all set (looks-wise and performance-wise).

I just want to make a point... when they say want younger customers, they're just trying shift the curve down, that means they know people over 60 will buy the Scion, but as a percentage they expect it to be LESS than the Toyota line.

Same here.

As for the gangster/emo preference: I think it's all good. I'm in both rapper/emo/preppy groups. Rappers like the aesthetics of a car and a few like the performance aspect. Just about everyone in the emo crowd that I hang with likes the performance and then aesthetics of the cars next. And the preppy groups that I hang with get the expensive, fast, cars... in automatics...

Just about nobody likes the xB untill they have either a) been inside of it, or b) seen a really tricked out one. Nobody likes the xA untill they have seen the price tag.

He's got it.

It does appeal to more 40+ people than I think Toyota thought it would.

Lexus = Toyota Quality at a high price.
Toyota = Toyota Quality at a good price.
Scion = Toyota Quality at a very good price.

There are more diffences than that, but I would never by a Lexus, you a paying a lot for the snob appeal of the luxury brand. :?

With Scion you get a stylish, functional and dependable car at a very reasonable price.

I dont really think what music someone likes has that much influence on what they think about the car in some ways i see what yall are saying but at my highschool its just mixed opinions from everyone until they actually see the inside like wOozZy said and know the price and of course gas mileage but most guys here in south texas love driving them big ole 4X4 pick ups but then i hear them complain about filling up at the gas station i laugh.

The car is a great car that i love i am 6'4 and have tons of room and i am able to go for about two weeks just driving around town on one tank of gas and yes a few of the rapper associated students have told me that i need to put some 20"s on it and then it would look better and most of the rock associated group hates it.

Default Great Car

Over all this is a great car. For ehat you get and what it cost its just awsome. College students and even HS students dont make that much with there part time and starting off jobs. So this is stylish and good performance for its doller.

I didn't know that. I assumed that it shared the same platform as the Matrix since they look somewhat similiar. Maybe not though...
