Is a scion manual good for first car?
i will be driving soon and i wanted to get the tc in stick but i still need to learn how to drive stick and i was thinking to learn to drive stick in a week then get the car... good idea or bad ? need some advice QUICK!!
practice in one of your friends car first. i personally think you should hold off buying the car until you feel completely comfortable driving manual. you should be able to learn the basics in a few hours. just practice in a large parking lot with no cars. good luck to you
I wouldnt advise any racing at first LOL , A clutch is not a cheap thing to replace LOL . Just take your time it will be easy enough to catch on . Atleast you didnt have an expierence like I did to learn stick . A buddy of mine threw the parking brake on in his sentra in bumper to bumper traffic at a red light , Looked at me and said "YOUR GONNA LEARN HOW TO DRIVE A STICK RIGHT NOW" Oh damn that was nerve racking LOL . I think there were perminate finger prints of my hands put into his steering wheel and gear shift **** LOL

i learned in a geo storm in which third gear grinds... tricky stuff counting out until it wont grind... but its different for most people. i killed it about three times total when learning. ive seen people kill them three times in 3 mins and not get anywhere. then start goin and kill it a few more times before they stop. just practice, the same with everything else in the world.
i got my car on monday...had no manual experience..learned it in 30 minutes..took this whole week to get used to..1st day was a bit bumpy, stalled a couple times...wednesday..got used to it and today well..im better =P
i am glad to hear scion is the easiest. I should be getting the stick tC this weekend. I drove my friend's stick Accord and my uncle's stick Imperza a few time.
i just hope i won't mess my new tC.
There are no hill in south Jersey, just in case i need to stop in the hill. What is the trick to make the car not to roll back?
