Scion Security
Not sure if this has been posted already if it has i do apologize. But was just wondering, since i want to have the Security feature added to my car from the dealership like what sounds does it make because i want the horn chirp when locking and unlocking.

don't waste your money on the Scion security, have an aftermarket alarm installed, something from Viper or Clifford (I think? begins with a C... they're both made by the same company) and if you have an auto you can get remote start, 2-way paging alarm key fob etc etc and even set it up so the standard lock/unlock/panic works with your standard Scion key.
the stock security is like $500 and you can get a top-of-the-line aftermarket alarm for $300 installed. The factory alarm just makes a lot of noise if somebody smashes your window, barely any sensativity at all.

I have it, I got it from the dealer dirt cheap, so Im not complaining. Works Great. Lowered my Insurance instantly. You need insurance before you take it off the lot, so with the scion security already installed, I got my insurance from NCOA lowered too!
I have no complaints with the alarm.

yeah, i got the factory one for 2 reasons. 1) the option to lower my insurance. and 2) i intend to put in a viper system later, along with lo-jack.
personally i don't really care much for the chirp sound. i kinda feel like i'm announcing my arrival and departure.

the tc alarm does not chirp; but you can have it 'activated' at your dealer:
consequentlely: the sensetivity can be adjusted by the dealer as well....
or you get a two way paging alarm from me

The tC alarm does NOT make any noise.
The dealer can not change that.
It will never make noise.
The sensativity adjustment is somewhere under the dash.
All you get is a flash of the lights.
Personally, I prefer that, as honking alarms are damned annoying.

The SCION TC KEYLESS ENTRY just binks lights.
I had the SCION SECURITY TC ALARM installed, but they let me drive the car bone stock for a couple of days before the work was performed. If SCION TC ALARM makes no noise, then why does my horn briefly honk (I WISH it would chirp!) and leave the foglights on for 30 seconds after arming?

I have the scion security. No beep, no honk. It flashes the lights once for arm, twice for disarm. The remote is all built into the key.
