on my car i have a scion security button, that has a red light that goes on when the car is off. is this an alarm system. i want to know so that if it is i can claim it in the insurance...

it depends on insurance.

Yes, that is your alarm system, it may not be the best alarm out there, but i dont think that insurance companies give you more of a discount depending on your alarm!
