scion security in switch panel
I notice a lot of cars I've seen has the scion security on the switch panel that shows its arm & the glass sensors, I got the scion security but they didn't install one on there, does anybody else got it like me? or do yall have it installed on the switch panel too? cause if so, I'm 'bout to go back and get my switch filler!!
plus the illumination switch looks lonely by itself.

I didn't get an additional manual... but if you don't have that on your panel, you need to go back and be sure they even installed it. If they did install it, take it back and insist that they forgot something.
well i think i know they installed it because i got the key with it? the scion security key, and they gave me another security, the auto-mate's anti-theft system which was free along w/ the scion security.. but i guess ima go back to them and be like wheres my switch panel led/gbs module! haha.. thanks guys
Those keys are standard. You get the keyless entry by default... but the security is just an add on that you really only see with that panel being there.
Try this: Get in your car. Lock it with the key. Wait at least 30 seconds (important) - then try to open you doors.
Or from the outside... lock it, wait at least 30 seconds, then tap on the sunroof with your key. If you tap hard enough, it'll set the alarm off.
But I suspect that you don't even have it.

A surefire way to see if its in your car, check out the installation pdf:

On page 5, follow the steps to remove the glove box under panel(really easy, no tools required), then look up toward the firewall for the two security system ECU's. They will be on a single bracket, to the right of the main ECU for the car. Its kinda tucked way up in there, see figure 8-4 on page 18. This is where you need to go if you want to adjust the sensitivity of the Glass Breakage Sensor as well...

I called up my dealership today and the guy told me the led/gbs switch filler depended on the distributor of the car, since I'm from texas my dealership said that all the people from texas, arkansas, oklahoma, & around here(state wise) were distributed by the same company (forgot the name) and he said that it just depended on the distributor.. I really don't know LOL
I will try this tomorrow and see how it goes, thanks Jowie!
