Default Scion tC Dyno numbers...

145.5 FPT 149.9 WHP. The torque never drops below 110 FPT and that 110 is @6500 RPM. When we hear back from the site admin we will upload our dyno charts.
Me like.

8% driveline losses? I'm guessing the engine is making a little more than 163. Maybe closer to 170. I mean, a Mazdaspeed Protege which is rated by the factory at 170hp/155lb-ft only dyno'd 150hp/150 lb-ft for Sport Compact Car.

Interesting that the tC made more hp than torque on the dyno. I figured it would be the opposite.

But what about the dyno? There's an article in SCC that even talks about different dyno's putting out different numbers. is this a dyno that would measure a stock rx-8 at 240 hp to the wheels? and is it with the trd exaust or anything?

just wondering.

It almost has to be a manual transmission. The auto would have much higher driveline losses.

Yah thats what I figured. Thats good for us then. Sounds like our manual transmissions will like mods.

Good #'s

What was the milage on the car? You should see slightly better number after the car has a few K on it.

Yes the dyno makes a difference, some times, but as time progresses an more and more are dyno'd everywhere I'm sure we will see similar results, + 0.5-1%

OK, now that you feed us this small piece of "crack" with this dyno run, you know we all want more.... like a run with the CAI, then TRD Exh, then Header, then hell go ahead a run a turbo/sc setup...

you just became the tC dyno "crack" dealer... we crave more.

We appreciate your comments, and welcome your questions.

This tC was run on our Dynapack 5000. It is a Base Manual tC. All dynos are different and you can argue that until you are blue in the face, yet it will not change a thing

This is a proper statement/answer to your question.
It is not uncommon for automotive manufactures to under rate their vehicles. KPI is in development of several different parts for the tC, including a line of turbo kits. I do not want to violate the board’s rules, so at this time we cannot say too much but KPI looks forward to sharing the information we get with this forum.
