Arent they supposed to auto - turn off?

It seems to say so in the manual but...mine dont.
Had it for about a month or so...

if you have em on, turn off the car, and then open the door, yeah they turn off.

 

Wha?? thats what the manual says but mine dont seem to do it! I feel like i'm missing something here i've tried it like 10 times...

 

If you have them on with the car running, just turn off the car. The lights should go off when you remove the key. Basically what Neothin said!

i feel lame asking this because it seems like this should be mindless....i'll try again later haha

 

make you turn the car on and everything... just turning it to on w/o starting the engine wont achieve the same effect.

mine works fine :D

 

let's do a step-by-step process here:

1. make sure headlights are off
2. start the car up (engine running)
3. make sure door is closed
4. turn on headlight

now to auto-off the headlights:
1. turn the engine off
2. remove the key
3. open door
4. headlights should turn off automatically

if not:
1. you're doing it wrong
2. u got a faulty car

if it does turn off automatically:
1. jump in joy

I like the way european cars do it: key off, lights off. period end of story.
