Scion tC reliability

Getting close to the August results.
If you've signed up to participate with a 2005 or 2006 but haven't yet responded to the survey (via a link in the email you received), please do.
And if you haven't signed up yet, I hope you'll consider doing so. I'd like to get all model years into the survey.

Those results just posted:
TrueDelta Vehicle Reliability Survey results
The 2006 tC appears to require few repairs. But the sample size is small. And I'd like to include the other years.
In other words, need more tC owners to sign up and participate.

We should have updated results for the 2005 and 2006 in November. Would also like to cover newer model years--just need more participants for those.

It's looking like the 2005 will be in the February results unless the response rate picks up this month.
The 2006 will be in the November results.
We'd like to include all model years--just need more paricipants.

In the latest results, the 2006 Scion tC had a repair rate 12 successful repair trips per 100 cars per year, which is much better than average. But the sample size was very small.
With more participants, we could provide more precise results, and include additional model years.

I have an rs1 Scion tC...bought in June 2005. I have never had it in the shop except for regular maintenance, a recall and some body work. I am very happy with how my tC runs and have no complaints. I am just under 65k on it.

Here some facts for you; at my expense.
I have '07 tC; bought back in November '06. I have put 115,xxx miles on him during these two years. I commute almost 80 miles each day for work.
I had never been at the service shop for anything major except for maintenance. I will say the car does perform better with Synthetic oil and I do average about 31 MPG.

damn I used to put 100 miles a day on my car...so I know how you feel. I only put about 25 a day now so I'm catching up a bit, but I was averaging bout 25-30k a year and still no problem

This month's survey is the last before the February results. Additional participants would be very helpful. Especially 2007s--we're just three short of the minimum as I type this.

The 2006 Scion tC continues to require few repairs, with a repair rate of about 24 repair trips per 100 cars per year. Updated results posted here today:
Scion tC reliability comparisons
Further updates in May, August, and November. With more participants we could provide full results for more model years.
