Scion tC Sunroof
Good Afternoon Everyone,
I just got my new 2010 tC about a month ago and I just opened the sunroof a few days ago and I was surprise on the amount of wind that it deflects into the car.
Is this normal to have so much wind been blown onto the dash from the sunroof or do I need to get an additional wind deflector?
Thanks in advance,
F

No you don't need an additional deflector, I find that you feel the wind more if you have the driver or passenger side windows down or even cracked but its not as bad if you just have the sunroof open. Besides, theres 3 different positions to the sunroof. "Tilt", "Midway...I suppose", and "All the way open" I dont know the terminology but thats pretty much how it works. You would have the only tC with 2 wind deflectors if you choose that route... even then the difference would be minimal.
I thought there was a recall on that piece that flips up to deflect some of the wind. I know it was on my 07, had to have a piece of film on it to protect from smashing. I would think they fixed that on the newer ones and maybe that is part of the problem with the wind flow. I don't seem to have much of a problem.
