Yeah if you have access to tools it is fairly straight forward pain to get the hub off half the time on most the front drive cars I have tore apart......but if you have tools and a warm shop you are set.

i havn't had the chance to really check the boot out either, maybe it's a tiny hole that i can patch with some silicone or soemthing for temporary usage until i can find a good price on a boot.

i can't believe toyota sells it for 100 a piece.

just get the boots. call up pepboys or something and get an oem replacement one. you can buy a whole new axle for a little more. boots shouldn't cost more than 30-40 bucks i think.

hahah Urinary Track Infection

NEIT FTW ****!

cv boots shouldnt be bad, and iirc you would be making youre life a lot easier by just taking the axles out and doing it on a bench.... uti should have taught you that NEIT did haha

its funny, cuz it's a uti instructor that im pretty sure split mine too.

they did teach me that, i just figure it would be easier to just slipt he boot off and put another one back on, either way it's the same amount of effort! haha

uti sucks btw, i hate it's *****.

yea, they are pretty stupid there, but any intelligent person absorbs the right kind of information

i actually learned alot, way more than i would have learned out just in the field.

besides, i'm not even being a mechanic, engineering major ftw!

Oh I see. . .

Just replace the CV shaft its a lot easier plus I've never seen repair boots last that long.
