i don't think its as simple as a fix-it ticket if u get pulled over for a turbo...

i had to go to court for stuff as simple as HIDs...yet i put them back in after a little while lol

as to the price of installation...i have no idea...sorry

^^ It's a fix it ticket but you'll have to take it to a CHP ref for them to sign off that it's back to stock and can pass emissions.

If the cops see the intercooler (the radiator looking thing) that is just one big red flag. I have thought of going turbo, but the fact is, its not worth it to me to have to take it off, return to stock. If you wanted a turbo in cali, you would need to have a house address in Nevada where could could get mail sent, then register your car in nevada.

You could just run your intercooler with the lower grill on haha. Less of a red flag then without it. Also don't run a pillar gauge pod because that's also a red flag. Put your gauges somewhere else like in the middle of the dash or something.

It's hard to hide a turbo. you have the BOV, which you could recirc. But then you've got the sound of the spooling turbo. IC. Lots of problems.

What if someone were to make like. A turbo dress up kit, so It kinda covers all the stuff up? Would that cause heat issues?

i have an a-pillar pod and nothing wrong with them, you just got to know how to drive clam and not race the jerk right next to you.

^^ I just ment that it's more of a red flag to cops if they see A pillar gauges. I have nothing against them as I'll be getting them when I boost my car haha

southern cali is known for towing your car on the spot depends on mods, it can run over 10 grand in citations not that it always stands in court but they do try. they also sell your car if caught street racing plus some jail time, i've seen a vid on a custom ride being crushed in a junkyard in ontario and let the owner watch. my brother and a friend got pulled over for mods in s.d. and one car went to the junkyard sold as salvaged and the other became registerd as an offroad vehicle only.

Recirc the BOV and have the IC sit behind a grill / spray it black.
When you need to smog the car, there's always a shop willing to pass your car for a little extra.

Highly illegal but it's what usually happens...no one mentions it online because they will just get flamed...

If you get caught...its usually because of the loud music, loud exhaust, dark tint, or something obvious that catches the eye of the police officer.
Don't give the police a reason to pull you over and you can get away with most illegal mods.
