Default Are Scions Still Pure Pricing?

Just wondering, heard rumors of people getting a few hundred off here and there, and my friend was looking into buying a car and he cant believe that they wont haggle even though i told em what the deal was.

Just wanted to confirm.

The vehicles are still pure pricing that I know of...

What you might be able to haggle for (depending on the dealer) would be accessories/warranty/maintenance plans... maybe.

Ya, I don't know what the specifics are on that. But I think if it's still a "new" vehicle, the same things might apply...

"Pure Pricing" does still exist Sap, just not the the way it was designed. Instead, dealerships are discounting ALL of the Scions to the same price to be competitve. So all tCs might be $400 off or all 08 xBs might be $100 off. Still stays in the "pure pricing" rules, just bends them... a lot.

I got my tc 500 less for the 07 models vs. the 08s. So it kinda pays to wait for the new model year. The discount is set tho.

Dealerships can pretty much sell every car for invoice. Its the consumers choice and the persuasion of the salesman that makes you believe the price is a good one.

I allways tell people use Edmunds or KBB and go into a dealership with the car as you want it, with their pricing, and its a very good deal for you, and the salesman makes his bit of comission and everyones happy.

If the salesman rebukes the value you brought to him, then you know he is only after fattening his paycheck, and you need to either find another salesman that will work with you, OR leave that dealership alltogether and dont let them talk you back.

BTW the dealership makes more money when you sit down with their finance people than they do on the sales floor. They RAPE folks in that back office. And whats bad is people feel good about it.

I got my car at one hell of a deal. 18.5k sticker after the 500 year end model off, at the finance office, only pay the sticker price. They either forgot to do something, but I didn't speak up. Signed it and drove home. On top of that free oil changes for life. Pure pricing or not, I got a good deal
