Default scratched interior

Hey everyone. I have about a 1 inch scratch on the outside of my glove box. Any ideas on how I can repair it?

How deep is it? Is it pretty severe? Any pics?

I don't have a digital camera so I can't get a pic right away. It's not super deep, but it's kind of noticeable and I couldn't just rub it out with a cleaner. I was wondering if auto parts stores have anything I can use.

So I assume it's on the crazy textured part of the dash? You MIGHT be able to use a vinyl repair kit or something similar on it. Don't know how it would turn out. But if you could match the color, the texture might help you to hide any kind of repair.

You could stop by the dealer and see what they would recommend for it as well (though I'd be sure to assure them that you don't want to replace the whole thing ).

BTW, how did you get such a scratch on the glove box.

It was a stupid mistake. I put a propane tank in the front seat floor and the top part of the tank rubbed against my glovebox. It's hard to match the color because it's not regular black, and like you said it's a crazy texture.

The interior on these cars scratch soo easily its not funny. I have tried to take them out but they don't come off. It's really easy to clean but easy to scratch too.

Ya, I have a couple really minor scratches on the silver trim pieces on the center console. I swear that stuff will scratch if you look at it funny.

My glovebox got all scratched up two weekends ago. My photographer had a big box of equipment on my front seat & it left some pretty good gashes. Grrr! And all this time I've been worried about door dings!
