Default shifting prob read it and you will see!!

I have an 07 Tc and have recently come across a prob. I have an auto Tc and have noticed my brake light coming on only when its cold. Heres where it gets weird i now noticed i can shift my car out of park without pressing on the brake even with the key out of the ignition. If anyone has a clue what it could be i would appreciate it. The dealership is stumped hahaha

Theres a little square on your console by the shifter.. you know that little cover that covers the "override" button?

You take that cover off, push the button, and it enables you to switch gears without the brakes.

Perhaps your switch is stuck, or the switch attached to your brake peddle isn't working, which would have nothing at all to do with the brake light. That might just be that you have too little fluid maybe?

have you had any brake work done? if so sounds like a blew out abs ring that would cause ur brake light to come on. this happens when the piston is pushed back into the caliper to fast.

my two cents,...........

o well i have a shift boot conversion i took the cover off and put a manual shift boot conversion on there for a luxury look lol. my brakes are good and so is the fluid and the light only comes on when its cold if it was too little fluid it would come on more, i believe. i will defintely look into the override button i forgot about that one. ive had that conversion for a while now.
