well finally happened I was in my car snoozing away when I hear a noise that woke me up I look out and there is a shopping cart next to my car. Right now I'm talking over with my manager to see if we can take the footage off the camera to see if it was just a carriage alone and rolled by itself or was it carelessly left by one of our awesome customers...GREAT!!!
Can anyone estimate the damage and what are my options with insurance will they hike my rates up? I have two on my drivers side rear quarter panel.

Looks like I can kiss my mods for the next few months goodbye.

To the OP. Its not that bad. If i were you, I'd just get some touchup paint from the dealer, replace the missing paint, and live with it. It's not worth fixing.
I can feel your pain.
I have had my tC since February and have had a retread kicked up into my bumper and destroy the cosmetics there. Just the other day a neighbor kid rode his bicycle into my driveway and put a nice arched scratch with paint chip removal to my back bumper. I guess my doors are next.

mine just came out of the shop on Thursday from a shopping cart dent... a very huge one also. There was about $1000 in damages. store wrote me a check for the amount to get it fixed. cars back and better than ever. only took about 3.5 days to fix in the shop.
If your collision deductible is $500, then you might want to just take it to a shop for an estimate. I don't think that should be more than $300-$400. They shouldn't have to repaint your quarter for that. Just lose the paint in the panel.
Any time you file a claim, there is potential for your rates to go up. Even if it isn't your fault, they may see you as being in/going to a high risk area.
Dude, how did you manage that? If I had worked a claim like that, I wouldn't have even expected the store manager/owner to call me back. That's simply amazing. Did you see it happen or did someone who worked there admit they did it?
