Default Shouldn't Scion recall our tCs for fixing the RATTLE?

It's not that serious problem....but it's soooo annoying!!

And I think most of tC owners got this problem.

IMO Scion should recall our tCs for fixing it!

what's your opinion?

recalls are usually done for safety issues, so it's a fair bet that no recall will take place for the squeaks.

yup. its not a safety issue, so no recall. but they acknowledge the problem, and the dealer will fix it if it happens to you.

Recalls cost big bucks to perform. No one is dying from this... it's just an annoyance. Sure, there should be a TSB or something to fix it, but there's absolutely no reason for a recall.

If they can pinpoint it and there's a TSB for it... yes. Many of the dealers seem to be having a hard time getting it right. While a lot of people seem to have a rattle of some sort... I still doubt that it's all related to similar parts or problems - so it may be tougher to get a TSB for something that varies from car to car.

I wouldn't say it's a guarantee that they'll fix it for free, but it's always worth a shot.

As long as they can figure it out they will fix it for free under warranty. Recalls are reserved for serious safety issues as has already been mentioned. For example, if the NHTSA finds that the sunroof shattering that has happened a few times is a widespread design flaw, they will force Toyota to perform a recall as it is considered a safety issue (of course toyotas investigation came back saying there wasnt an issue).

not recalled but eventually the rattles will be sorted out and fixed. lets face it something on the car rattles and eventually they will find out what is causing it. the fact that they're having such a hard time finding the cause leads me to belive that there are a couple different things causing the rattles and eventually they'll have tsb's on everything.

you do have a warranty.
it should be fixed for free under this.

and the others are correct about recall are for safety issues.
after a few years and several losses (lawsuits) will a recall be issued.

Someone posted earlier today that their 06 had a rattle... I'm worried my Nautical might have one when I receive it. If it does, I'll just reject it or have it repaired before I buy it.

Have you driven any other car? I can't believe tC drivers complain about rattles but hey, it is annoying I guess... But I'm usually more focused on sounds from my engine or music, depends on my mood.

Um, exactly what difference would it make if there was a "recall".

You would still have to bring the car in, and have them fix it, for free. Unless you have ran out of miles on your warranty already.
